Matador make toys for Kids from 3+ (Maker sets) and 5 + (Explorer sets). Each set contains a wooden hammer and all necessary parts to built from description of built your own creation.
Maker (3+) in general:
The Maker wooden construction sets by Matador promote motor and cognitive development of our young children aged 3 years and older. Thanks to the own Matador hammer, building blocks and pins are connected so that children playfully develop craftsmanship skills.
Using the special Matador pliers, the structures can always be taken apart and then re-assembled to form a new structure. The size of the wooden blocks which measure 4×4 cm are perfectly suited for the size of small children’s hands. The building instructions are illustrated, thereby enabling children to build on their own. Six different main construction sets in various sizes (ranging from 34 to 350 building parts) and sensible expansion sets allow children to build to their heart’s content.
Tools & Construction Manual
Every Maker and Explorer construction set comes with the respective tools. Using the fitting hammer, children build great structures, operative models, and imaginative worlds. With the innovative pliers made from organic wooden injection moulding the structures can easily be disassembled again.
The visually designed building manuals give a first spark of inspiration. Apart from exact step-by-step instructions they also indicate detailed information on the difficulty level, number of parts needed, illustrated list of parts, and an approximate building time. The manual includes pictures of how to use the hammer and the pliers.
Pedagogically devised, the difficulty levels of the model increase in logical steps so that the skills are continuously developed. If children have not had any experience with tools, it makes sense for them to have some help during their first tries. After the first sense of achievement our children turn into true Matador master builders!
Explorer (5+) in general:
MATADOR Explorer wood construction sets are unique worldwide in allowing children to develop and implement their imagination and ideas. Thanks to the wood’s singular accuracy of fit, these sets fulfil the requirement for both simple and complex models. Blocks drilled to precision, perfectly fitting linking pins, axles and wheels – a variety of construction options which have fascinated young and old for generations. Using the Matador hammer, not only simple models such as airplanes, cars, figurines, but also more complicated and technically advanced and entire Matador landscapes can be built.
Thanks to the tried and tested expansion sets such as cogs and motor, MATADOR Explorer construction sets are sophisticated ‘toys’ with which children can learn to combine theory and practice throughout their development phase.
